The Butterfly is a passive mob.
It drops no items when killed, however when using an Empty Jar on the mob it will give a Butterfly in a Jar.
Spawn Locations
The Butterfly can spawn above the following items:
- Red Rose
- Blue Tulip
- Sunflower
Trivia
- There are three different types of butterflies, red, blue, and yellow. They spawn above there corresponding color flower.
- As of 1.8.1 shares the same death sound as the Slime.
